- What was your initial concept for your final project and what were the reasons behind your choices?
What were you trying to achieve in making your final product? What message were you trying to give? Who were you targeting with your final product and of what relevance is your project to an audience? What specialism have you followed, games, film, print, web etc? How would this help you progress onto further study or into work? Is it a project that you have passion about?
Initially I had 3 ideas for my project. One was based on Immigration another on Architecture and the final one based on UK Esports. However, I chose to base my project on architecture, but after talking to one of my teachers, he told me to narrow down my idea and find a niche within it. So, after a few lessons passed by focusing on the globalization aspect of buildings within London. I thought of this as at the time I saw an article talking about a certain building which was going to be sold to a foreign company. For me the focus of my project is to inform an audience of how our amazing skyscrapers are being taken over or are not ours at all. The target audience I was grasping for was young adults who happen to be politically aware as well as someone who has an interest in globalization. Our magazine is based on a very niche topic hence the reason why our audience may be small. The type of specialism I have followed is print. As we were creating a magazine accompanied by a poster. In future, I would like to possibly work within the political industry, this project ties in to politics fairly well as it is spoken about by politicians and political pundits. I would say I am passionate about this particular project, however I am not as passionate as I once was, as I was previously.
