Today me and Shane began writing our articles for our magazine, I wrote about The Gherkin and Shane wrote about the Shard and we felt that this was fair as it was a similar amount of writing. After this, we fixed the issue we had on Friday of placing images of clicking and placing the image on the InDesign document and today we placed all the images on the document and fixed all the errors.

Friday 19th May
Today we were having an issue with the magazine, this issue was that when we were trying to put the magazine together many of the images were low quality even though they looked very good outside of InDesign. To fix this we spoke to Richard about the issue and he told us that the way to fix this was very simple. Instead of dragging the images in, you have to use the software tools and click file>place. This allowed us to import high-resolution pictures.
Thursday 18th May
There was no college today, however, I worked at home in order to catch up on any additional work that needed to be done.
Wednesday 17th May
Today I made some design decisions with Shane. I was stuck on with this part of the work. Fortunately, Shanes input allowed me to create a much more improved product. During this time we shared ideas and expressed our critical thoughts towards each other about the magazine.
Tuesday 16th May
Today I continued designing the magazine while Shane was creating the adverts for our magazine. We also had a problem with the masthead on the magazine as it was a very low-quality image (JPEG) but we found we could increase the quality by making it into a PNG as you cannot lose any quality with this file type. However instead of changing the original masthead to a PNG. I decided that it would be better if I designed a new one as the previous one did not look stylish. Today was a good day in terms of problem-solving and dealing with some major issues that the magazine currently has. We were very productive and efficient with our timing.
