Monday 15th May

Today we began putting some of our adverts into the template and to do this we had to make sure that it was the correct size. Fortunately, we remembered that the advert had to be created in the same dimensions we created a single magazine page as. In order to create the adverts, we used Photoshop to create them as we have a lot of experience using the editing software.

 

Friday 12th May

Today I and Shane began creating our adverts on Photoshop to feature in our magazine which we are creating using InDesign on a later date. We found that it is difficult to design an advert that blends well into our magazine as our magazine is envisioned to look high end and sleek.

Thursday 11th May

Today, we began taking pictures of several products that we were going to advertise in our magazine. We took pictures of products which we felt that would fit into the magazine. We spent the whole day taking pictures from different angles, the process was time-consuming however it was vital to our magazine.

Wednesday 10th May

Today I continued in creating the draft plan for our magazine. I looked at several examples online to refer to for help and consulted Shane when it was possible, due to him working on his photography course.

Tuesday 9th May

Today, I and Shane went out to central London in order to take some pictures for our magazine. We met at East Ham Station and made our way to London Bridge station. The equipment we had was a DSLR Cannon camera and a tripod. We took several pictures of each and every building we are going to feature in our magazine. Due to the height of the buildings, we needed to go up a building and take pictures which we could fit within the camera’s lens. So we went to Sky garden which is located at 20 Fenchurch St
